2008 will be a very special year for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as it marks their 40th anniversary.
The Leafs Annual Forum and Reception will also be very special this year, as the Leafs are pleased to announce that for the first time, they will have a record seven former major league greats on hand to help them open the season.
This year’s Forum will feature Ferguson Jenkins, Gaylord Perry, Bob Feller, Robin Roberts, Monte Irwin, Ralph Kiner and Luis Tiant, giving fans the largest number of former players in Forum history.
“We have an all-star lineup this year for sure,” Leaf owner Jack Dominico says. “Seven great former players, so it should be a great night.”
This year’s Leaf Forum and Reception takes place at the Westin Hotel, 950 Dixon Road, on Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 plus GST and are available ONLY by calling 416-631-2600.

As defending league champions, the Leafs will also play host to this year’s Intercounty Baseball League All-Star Game as well.
The Leafs will take on the IBL All-Stars on Saturday, July 5 at 2 p.m. at Christie Pits, with a special alumni/media game taking place at noon. More details on the All-Star Game will be announced in the coming months.
The Leafs will open their 40th anniversary season Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at Christie Pits. As always admission is free for all home games, and the official schedule is expected to be announced shortly, so check this site for details.
